Nick Pino scored four goals as North Andover boys lacrosse earned a big win 10-8 over Masconomet. The Scarlet Knigths improved to 8-7 while Masco fell to 13-3. 

By edging Masconomet, 75-70, North Andover locked up its second straight CAL track title. Samantha Barron had a strong 113-6 javelin throw as part of a two-win day, and Deidre Martyn's 2:23.0 800 was a personal best.

Pentucket fought off all pressure, delivering four two-out RBIs in a 5-2 victory over Masconomet. Junior Connor McGuirk had the game's big hit, a single up the middle that scored two of the Sachems' three third-inning runs.

North Andover girls lacrosse won its sixth straight CAL title with a 15-5 victory over Masconomet. 

Masconomet beat the Scarlet Knights 14-9 on April 3 at Masco. Since then, North Andover has gone 13-2, including last night's victory. 

What was supposed to be a Cape Ann League showdown became a mismatch as North Reading (11-2) blasted Masconomet 17-2 —  the same Masconomet team that beat the Hornets earlier in the season.Terri Ferrazzani threw a one-hitter in the five-inning game, striking out seven, and had two hits and four RBIs. Shelby Carney and Tarah Reilly both had three hits and scored three runs.

Masconomet nipped North Reading, 6-5, in a battle of softball unbeatens.

Brandon Walsh had three of North Andover's five hits, including a solo homer, but that only told half the story in the Knights' 2-1 win over rival Masconomet. Walsh dominated the Chieftains in a three-hit complete-game performance, striking out 13 and walking three.
