With its two seniors out of the lineup, Windham went deep for a 64-52 victory over Coe-Brown. Cementing his role after splitting time with the JV squad, sophomore Tucker Lippold (11 points) hit three second-quarter 3-pointers to help the Jaguars break things open. Classmates Andrew Lowman and Jeff Peterson owned the backboards for Windham.

It took a record-breaking time to keep Steven Hammar from victory.

The Pelham runner placed second in the 1,500 meter run at the Division 2 state championships at Dartmouth, bested by Bow's Jonathan Vinnenberg in a time of 4:06.50 that was almost five seconds faster than the two-year-old record he broke. Hammar ran a personal-best 4:15.54 as runner-up.

Windham freshman Kristen Tilley led local finishers in yesterday's Division 2 state championship meet at Dartmouth, placing fourth in the 600 with a school-record 1:42.69. Teammate Kate Farrell came in fifth in the 3,000 in 11:11.82, also a school record by over a second for the senior.

Sophomores Porter Carelli (hat trick), Nick Laurin (goal, assist) and Dustin Lubinger (goal, 3 assists) as Windham-Pelham blitzed Moultonboro 9-3.

Jeff Peterson netted a career-high 19 points to lead Windham 56-50 over Bishop Brady in boys basketball. 

Courtney Thompson won the all-around to help Pinkerton win its three-team meet with 136.25 points and finish its regular season with a 14-0 record.

Thompson has won the all-around every time she has competed in it this season. 

Mike Donovan had quite a 16th birthday gift ... his first shutout of the year. The sophomore keeper and Nick Neary (hat trick) led Windham-Pelham to a 6-0 win over Portsmouth.

Windham's Patrick Fitzgerald placed second in the 55 meter hurdles (8.1 seconds) and fourth in the long jump (19-8 1/4) to led area Division 2 athletes at their qualifying session at UNH.

In a quality high school hockey game, Windham-Pelham repelled Souhegan time and again to grab a hard-earned 6-4 victory. Timely defense from Steven Beck and Steven Barton did the trick in the win.

Windham's wrestling team remained unbeaten in Division 3 with a 66-9 thrashing of Pelham. In two of the best matches of the day, Windham's Jeff Armstrong edged Pelham's Jared Boyden 8-6 in overtime at 106 while, at 138, Pelham's Kevin DeAngelo prevailed by the same 8-6 score.
