Zach Karalis of North Andover scored his first varisty soccer goal in North Andover's 4-0 win over Manchester-Essex. Coach Bill Tarbox said that Karalis looked very excited to score the goal.

Sachems roll on

 

Pentucket's unbeaten boys soccer team, which is off to its best start in at least 15 years, won its seventh straight game, 5-0 over Ipswich. Colin MacDonald scored twice for the Sachems.

Crazy Croteau

Josh Croteau has been on a crazy goal scoring pace as he netted his 13th goal in six games to help Pentucket (6-0) to a 5-0 win over CAL rival Georgetown. Croteau scored the first two goals of the contest after a scoreless first half. Jesse Buzzell recorded the shutout, saving five shots. Pentucket outshot Georgetown 15-3.

Alex Jimenez and Zach Sindoni both scored with under 15 minutes remaining as Haverhill boys soccer (2-5-1) erased a one-goal deficit to win 2-1 against Central (1-1-5). Mike Regan scored the lone goal for Central. It came 42 seconds into the game. Haverhill keeper Jared Grazio made five saves.

OT win for Astros

Fighting back from a two-goal deficit, Jed Duchene's score off a Sean Smith feed in the 92nd minute gave Pinkerton its biggest win of the season so far, a 3-2 thriller over Exeter. Seniors Dan Barker, Hayden Hicks and Kyle Erhardt helped turn things around for the Astros.

The streak is over

After stopping Wilmington's effective counterattacking, North Reading went to work offensively and ended the Wildcats' Cape Ann League unbeaten streak at 27 games (20-0-7), winning 3-0. Julius Dengenhardt and Tommy Dixon each scored their first varsity goals with ample help from Chris Schipelliti, the "engine" of the Hornet offense according to head coach Mark Bisognano.
