Phillips remains undefeated

Phillips Academy crushed Pomfret, 4-1, to remain undefeated yesterday.

The Big Blue boasted four different goal scorers, including Nick Craven, Brian Sasstrom, Michael Lozzi and Chris Kreider. Craven also registered an assist en route to a two-point night. Netminder Glenn Stowell narrowly missed earning his first shutout of the season, allowing a goal in the third frame.

Gloucester hockey star Biondo set to transfer

The chances of the Gloucester High School boys hockey team repeating as Northeastern Conference champs next winter just got a little bit slimmer.

High-scoring junior forward Brett Biondo has decided to transfer to Division 1 power Malden Catholic for his senior year. Biondo's move had been rumored for a while, and the Fishermen's leading goal-scorer confirmed the decision yesterday.
