ANDOVER —The Andover girls lacrosse team won for the sixth time in seven outings this season, routing visiting Pinkerton 17-8 yesterday.

Senior Ally Fazio and sophomore Weezy Gross each had five goals for the Golden Warriors. Fazio added three assists. Anne Farnham added two goals and three assists for Andover. Pinkerton, which has not won in four matches this season, got three goals from Kennedy Daziel and a pair from both Erin Coutts and Riann Daziel.

Shelby Boudreau was in the giving mood, dishing out five assists in North Andover's 19-7 girls lacrosse win over North Reading. Audrey Samuelman netted a season-high seven goals for the winners.

Courtney Sweeny was credited with an amazing 10 assists and Melissa Cino, Kayla Breton, Ali Connors and Sam Chrichton scored four goals apiece as unbeaten Windham (5-0) whipped Derryfield 19-5.

Senior Briana Tan scored her first career goal in Salem's tight 17-15 setback to Manchester Central. A strong finish by Central broke open a tie game with 2 1/2 minutes remaining.

Hailey Novis' goal with just 15 seconds left in regulation was the difference as Phillips Academy beat St. Paul's, 8-7, in girls lacrosse action yesterday. The junior defenseman potted a pair on the day, as did teammate Nekele McCall, a sophomore midfielder.

Freshman Brooke Paradis has become the focal point of Pelham lacrosse's offense, scoring six times in an 11-10 victory over Laconia. "Brooke played a really nice game at midfield and attack," said coach Kaite Carmody. "She's the one the offense funnels through." Defender Makenzie Masiello also turned in a strong effort for the Pythons.

Phillips was only seconds away from defeat, but wasn't interested in an overtime session.

With only 17 seconds to play, Greer McBeth scored to tie the score.  Then, Caroline Garrity won he draw and took it in for the game-winner with seven seconds to play.
