Relay the difference for Andover

With the meet to be decided on the final event of the day, the team of Ryan Cooney, Mike Maldari, Pat O'Sullivan and Will Klein took the 4x400 in 3:34.22 to give Andover a 75-72 win over Haverhill. Golden Warrior freshman Sebastian Silviera ran a speedy 53.74 to take the 400, while the Hillies were led by Pat Garvey, who won the high jump, 110 hurdles and 400 hurdles.

Rangers at the wire

 

Methuen's boys track team won the 4x400 relay to nip Tewksbury in a 73-72 thriller. Freshman John St.Hilaire and Stephen Lilja got a big lead and Rudy Severino and Keith Erickson carried it home in 3:36.7. Sam Weeks swept the shot put (48-3) and discus for the Rangers, Angel Baez won the 100 and 200 and anchored the winning 4x100 relay and Mike O'Donnell was first in both the mile (4:28.9) and 80 (2:01.4).

Pentucket boys shuttle hurdle relay team of Franco Pizzarella, Jeff Funk, Steven Hardy and Jake Baribeau broke the school record by finishing in 70.78 at the Division 3 Relays at Pembroke.

Reggies pull stunner

 

The Greater Lawrence boys track team stunner Chelsea 71-65, handing the host team its first dual meet in the regular season since 2007. Hector Payano was a triple winner, in the triple jump (39-9), 200 (23.9) and 100 (11.8) and Hansel Santo-Lara won both the 800 and 2-mile to lead the way.
