Behind 10 kills from Cam Todd, 26 assists from Phil Balanoff and eight digs from Cam Donnelly, Timberlane blitzed Hollis-Brookline 25-20, 25-13, 25-21 to advance to the semifinals.

John Stark put up a fight in the 1 vs. 8 game but nine-time defending champion Salem recorded the 25-23, 25-22, 25-18 win in the N.H. volleyball quarterfinals. Pat Frydryck led the way with 10 kills while Jacob Slepian had 26 assists and Darren Righini racked up 25 digs.

Pinkerton lost Game 1 25-11, struggled before prevailing 25-22 in Game 2 then found its stride for a 3-1 quarterfinal win over Dover.

Kyle Heidler contributed 26 assists, German Terrero scored 15 service points and Cobi Moore supplied 14 digs in the win.

Evan Todd notched 10 kills, Andrew Lowman seven blocks, Tucker Lippold 12 assists and Tim Erdlen 11 digs. Those were the most impressive numbers as Windham blanked Bishop Guertin, 3-0, in the quarterfinals.

Windham nipped Pinkerton in the fifth game, 16-14, to take a five game volleyball barnburner in a battle of state title contenders. Evan Todd led Windham, (14-2) with 15 kills. Kyle Heidler had 25 assists for the Astros (12-4).

CHELMSFORD — Tony Hajjar has been here before, coaching an unsung Lawrence High boys volleyball team in late May and early June.

Pinkerton snapped Salem's 54-match win streak in its last outing but yesterday it was Timberlane with the 3-1 win over the Astros. Cam Todd had 22 kills and Matt Duhamel 10 blocks for the Owls.

Andy Henriquez's 11 kills and 31 blocks lifted Lawrence volleyball 3-0 over Andover in the North quarterfinals. 

Alec Dean led the Golden Warriors with eight kills, 11 service points and eight digs.

Behind Andrew Lechner's 17 kills and four blocks and Kyle Heidler's 36 assists, Pinkerton volleyball upset previously-undefeated powerhouse Salem with a 3-0 sweep.
