Tripp still unbeaten

 

With no Lowell Catholic girls to run against, Whittier sophomore Noel Tripp ran in the boys race (won by Lowell Catholic) and finished eighth overall in an impressive 20:52 for 3.1 miles. She is unbeaten in girls races.

Whittier boys cross country swept Essex Tech to improve to 4-0 while the girls lost. Both winners were Wildcats: Michael Driscoll for the boys and Noel Tripp for the girls.

Khalil brothers go 2-3

 

MANCHESTER — It was a great day for Sanborn's Khalil brothers Saturdayand a very good day for Windham in the Manchester Invitational Small School boys race.

Sanborn junior Jared Khalil finished second overall in 16:23 on the challenging 3.1-mile Derryfield Park course and brother Tyson Khalil was right behind hi in third with a 16:52. They carried Sanborn to fith overall in the 31-team field.

Methuen's Freddy Coleman took the individual honors (16:25.5, 3.1 miles) but North Andover's depth easily ruled the day in a 20-42 romp. Ryan Connoelly, Matt McDevitt and Luke Stad led the 3-0 Knights.
