Ali Connors scored with about three minutes left to give Windham an 11-9 lead and the Jaguars held on to beat Winnacunnet 11-10 in the Division 2 state semifinals.

Windham, which has moved up after winning the Division 3 crown the previous two years, got off to a slow start. The Jags trailed 7-5 at the half despite three goals and an assist from Courtney Sweeny.

Tori Cipollone (10 saves on the day) and the No. 1 Jags, though, were up to the task against the No. 4 Warriors.

"Tori had quite a few big saves. She's so solid. She's just just had a great career," said coach Jill Bartlett.

Melissa Cino led the 15-2 Jaguars with four goals while Sweeny and Connors added three apiece.

Windham will have a formidable task ahead Tuesday at SNHU for the three-peat. Bedford edged the Jags 16-14 on May 16.

"It should be a very interesting rematch," said Bartlett, whose team's only other loss was to Division 1 Pinkerton.
