Methuen's field hockey team won its Division 1 North preliminary game Wednesday afternoon, blanking MVC foe Lawrence, 1-0. Rachel Vins scored in the first half for the Rangers (11-7), who play at Andover Friday, and the defense did the rest. Catrina Crowe played a strong game in the midfield and Jenna Ciccotelli had two saves, Nairobi Ubilez had six saves for Lawrence.
