Top seeded Londonderry ripped No. 16 Winnacunnet 71-44 in its Division 1 tourney opener.
Cody Ball scored a game-high 21 points, Jake Coleman had 15, Marc Corey 14 and Brandon Radford 11. Coleman also had six steals for the Lancers (21-1, 19-0 D1) and Joey Kwiatkowski pulled down eight rebounds.
"We have an X on our back," said coach Nate Stanton. "We came out confident and played the way we play."
Saturday at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals LHS will host No. 9 Merrimack, which gave the Lancers two tough games in the regular season (52-51, 56-48)
"It will be tough. They play physical," said Stanton, who noted the tip-off could be moved up due to the forecast of bad weather.
