BRIGHTON — Kelly Golini scored twice and Cassidy Gruning scored as Methuen-Tewksbury tripped up Barnstable 3-1 in the Division 1 state quarterfinals.
Coach Sarah Oteri said, "We played great as a team. We did the little things we needed to do to win. Kelly was phenomenal in all three zones. Center Ryan Quinn was blocking shots, attacking the puck."
Kaia Hollingsworth had another big game with 17 saves.
The Red Rangers improved to 20-1-2 while Barnstable finishes up at 17-2-4. Monday in Woburn in the Division 1 state semifinals, M-T will take on the winner of today's Shrewsbury-Masconomet game.
