With veteran defense, Swampscott should be on upswing again

The Swampscott High School football team will rely on a veteran defense, anchored by seven returning starters, to lead the team through the NEC South Division this season. From left, senior tri-captain Peter Kinchley will start at quarterback and should see some time on the defensive side, where senior stalwarts and tri-captains Dorsey Dobias and Brian Palangi will add to the veteran presence. Junior linebacker Ilya Levin, an all-conference player last season, will also contribute as a running back for the offense. The team plays its opening game at home against Winchester on Saturday at noon.1 Photo
