Joseph Aronov placed second in the floor (8.6), vault (9.0), high bar (8.2), rings (8.0) and all-around (49.2), third in the parallel bars (8.0) and fifth in the pommel horse (7.3) to lead Andover boys to third place at the State Meet.

Andover's Joseph Aronov won the all-around with a 44.2 score at the Coaches Invitational. Evan Igoe tied for first on the floor with a 7.6.

Andover's boys gymnastic team routed Nashua South and Nashua North 150.2-107.9-105.5, placing in the top three in every event. Brian Manning (42.5) and Joseph Aronov (38.6) went one-two in the all-around for the Warriors (5-1).

Senior Brian Manning won five of six events, and Andover had its way with Lowell in boys gymnastics, 140.4-129.2.

Andover freshman Joe Aranov was first in the vault and runner-up in two events and was the all-around winner as the Andover boys gymnastics team defeated Attleboro for its first win of the season.

Junior Brian Manning took second in the all-around and won the parallel bars and pommel horse to lead Andover to a second-place finish at the seven-team state meet. Cody Flaherty, who began his career at Methuen then spent his next two years at Salem (N.H.), finished his career with a bang. He took a fourth on bars, fifth on high bar, fourth on pommel and fourth on rings.

Newton South and Newton North.
