Rachel Bourque scored a pair of goals to lead Triton over Pentucket 2-0. Kaitlin Muller and Tori Clay added assists for the Vikings. Rebecca Schmidt and Kristi Davis played well on defense to help shut down Pentucket. Heather Thomas played well in net for the Sachems, making six saves.

Triton built a 2-0 lead and held on to defeat rival Pentucket 2-1. The host Vikings (1-0-2) got goals from Andrew Goodwin and Pat Martin with assists from Evan Schwarz, Ed Hargreaves, Caleb Noble and Martin. Triton goalies Ben Cross (4 saves) and Ben Norton (3 saves) split time in the win.

Through three quarters, behind the immense efforts of linebackers Rob West (nine tackles) and Jeff Andrews (seven stops), the Vikings throttled North Reading. Newburyport wasted little time picking up where they left off a year ago, scoring four times in the first eight minutes en route to a 7-0 victory over Triton. Maggie Mahoney had a hat trick to lead the Clippers.

Newburyport and Triton played to a 1-1 tie in each team's season opener. Ryan Flynn opened the scoring early in the game, but Tyler Stotz equalized later in the first half.

Playing Triton of the Cape Ann League meant the Commonwealth Conference Reggies were moving up one division in competition, and playing the season opener in Byfield meant dealing with this challenge on the road.

Alyssa Matt scored the game-tying goal for Newburyport, which tied Triton 1-1. Tarra Wallace scored for the Vikings. Haley Morris made 12 saves to preserve the tie for the Clippers.

In a brand-new experience for the Triton football team, the coaches and players spent the last nine months reflecting on a season-ending victory.

It sounds simple enough, but it had been seven years since Triton's last ended a season with a Thanksgiving Day victory over Pentucket.

Theresa Olsen made 17 saves, but North Andover's barrage was too much for Triton to handle, and the Vikings fell 3-0.
