Pam Coufos was dominating with her second-half draw controls as North Andover snapped a 6-6 halftime tie to beat Georgetown 14-9. Michelle Martin anchored the defense and Olivia Boudreau scored six goals.

Hamilton-Wenham 13, Georgetown 12

Georgetown came close to upsetting Hamilton-Wenham but saw a halftime lead disappear, hovering near the Generals but eventually falling, 13-12. The Royals stayed in the hunt with help from the hard work of Madeline Cannon and Katherine Gibb in the midfield.

Still perfect

Late in a tie lacrosse game, superb Brooks defense from Jill Doherty and Jackie Kelleher separated the St. Mark's goalie from the ball. Ren Robinson took possession and set up Annie McClelland for the winning goal with 24 seconds left, allowing Brooks to win the battle of unbeatens, 10-9. North Andover's Hannah Buttress was staunch in the Brooks net in a game where neither team held larger than a one-goal lead.

Sharp goalies

Both Methuen and Haverhill girls lacrosse got strong efforts from their goalies. Haverhill's Molly Thomas saved 14 shots and Methuen's Jenna Risacher stopped 22 shots. Haverhill won 13-10.

Chelsea Burke had seven goals and four assists and Morgan Gott chipped in with five goals and two assists as Georgetown held off Lynnfield 17-15, improving the Royals to 2-5.

Battle of Mass and NH ends in a tie

Duxbury took a one-goal lead with 25 seconds to play, but Londonderry won the draw and Leah Walter (five goals) notched the equalizer as Londonerry tied Duxbury 19-19 (no overtime played). Jenny Thompson had seven goals to pace the Lancers (3-0-1) while Alexa Bedell added six.

Eight is enough for McCall and Phillips

Sophomore Nekele McCall scored eight times to pace Phillips Academy to a 15-8 come from behind the win at Groton.  The Big Blue trailed 5-2 before pulling even (6-6) before halftime.  McCall also had a pair of assists while Brooke Van Valkenburg added four goals and an assist for Phillips (4-2). Lizzie Paul tallied two goals and two assists.

Wise call-up

 

 

Alicia Bilsky, in her first game since being called up by the JV, scored twice for the Central Catholic girls lacrosse team in a 9-7 comeback victory over Arlington. Maeve Holland led the offense with five goals.
