Pentucket's Lexi Kitsakos won the high jump (4-10), the 400 hurdles (69.2) and 200 (26.9) as the Sachems swept Masconomet (82-63) and Wilmington (85-60).

Amanda Foote ran a blazing school-record 63.5 in 400 hurdles to help North Andover sweep previously-undefeated Ipswich (78 1/2-66 1/2) and Amesbury (107-37).

Foote, whose time was hand-timed, appears on the verge of breaking the area's official all-time mark of 63.59 run by Haverhill's Rebecca Stabile last season.

Central Catholic needed a second-place finish in the 200 to wrap up its meet against Andover and clinch the MVC championship, and Leanne Kent came through big-time. Kent shattered her personal-best time by one second to take the runner-up spot in the 74-71 victory. Competing in rugged doubles, Lanie Jowett (first in 2-mile and second in mile) and Nicolette Pelrine (winning mile and 800) scored valuable points for the Raiders.

In a 101-44 loss to Lowell, Haverhill's Rebecca Stabile was beyond dominant, winning the long jump, high and low hurdles.

Melissa Higgins won four events and Amy Desrosiers broke her own school record by six inches with a big 129-5 throw in the discus as Salem downed Manchester Central 89-52.

Greater Lawrence whipped Lynn Tech, 62-24, for what was the Reggies first win of the year and perhaps a few seasons, according to coach Jamie Qualter. Taisha Diaz (triple jump, 400 hurdles, 800) and Sierra Ortiz (shot put, 100 hurdles) combined for five wins.

Kristen Swanson won the 100, 200, triple jump and 100 hurdles as Timberlane whipped Dover 107-37. On the boys' side, Gunnar Ericsson and Matt Dionne were triple winners but the Owls fell 76-68.

Lexi Kitsakos had a strong day in Pentucket's 83-62 loss to Lynnfield, setting a new school record in the 400 hurdles (1:08.7) while winning the high jump and the 200.

Katie Bailey won the 400 and 400 hurdles to help Whittier best Shawsheen 82-53.

Under less than ideal conditions, freshman Katie McManus threw the shot put an impressive 32-8, a personal best distance in North Andover's 93-51 win over Wilmington.
