North Andover golf received wins from Jack Kelly, Jack McKay, Will Berberich, Liam McEvoy, John Cooperstein, Ben Cooperstein and Matt Lucy in a 18-2 victory over Dracut that improved the Scarlet Knights to 11-0. 

Andover had individual four winner vs. Billerica: Nick Scarpa, Colleen Caveney, Mark Nardone and Jason Spencer. The Golden Warriors won 11.5-9.5 and qualified for the state tournament.

Haverhill's golf team qualified for the state tournament with a surprisingly easy 16 1/2-3 1/2 victory over Andover. Among the winners for Haverhill (7-4) were co-medalists Sean Bellemore and Alec Steed, both with 36s.

SALEM, N.H. — Hotshot freshman Lauren Thibodeau upset defending champion Chelsea Sedlar from Bishop Guertin to capture the girls state golf title Saturday at Campbell’s Scottish Highlands. The ninth grader from Hampstead had to be on top of her game as Sedlar, a senior from Merrimack, didn’t make it easy on her. Sedlar fired an even-par 71 while Thibodeau went one under in a marvelous performance. It was tied through the front nine but Thibodeau gained two strokes with a birdie 2 on the 11th hole. She bogeyed the 14th whole and it was all tied. The difference was she had a par on 17 while Sedlar bogied the hole. It’s been quite a year for Thibodeau. She had a memorable summer including tying for second at the State Women’s Open. Third place in the 15-golfer field Saturday was St. Thomas’ Sara Feith with an 81. Pinkerton freshman Erin Dellorusso was fifth with an 86 and Astro teammate senior Kaitlyn Lutinski was seventh with an 87.

Haverhill junior Sean Bellemore continued his torrid run through the Merrimack Valley Conference, lifting the Hillies over Methuen, 17.5-2.5. Bellemore fired a 34 at Merrimack Golf Club, his fifth straight round of even-par or better.

Led by Ryan Ajamian with a medalist score of 35, Central Catholic's golf team had five winners shoot under 40 in a 13-7 win over Billerica. That improved the Raiders to 8-1-1.

Sean Bellemore notched his third match in a row with a par or better. He won at No. 1 and was medalist with a par 35 as Haverhill beat Billerica 13-7. Anthony Diodati shot a fine 38 and won at No. 7.

Dan Pleva of Londonderry fired a hole-in-one on the par 3 140-yard, ninth hole at Nashua CC in a tri-meet.

Freshman Brett Blackwell scored his first varsity win, and Keegan Lannon and Kyle Brandon each joined him in the victory column for the Methuen golfers, who fell to Tewksbury, 11-9.

Jack Kelly's 2-under par 33 set the tone for North Andover in a 20-0 whitewash of Lowell.
