Pentucket's boys tennis team defeated Masconomet for the first time in Christian Langlois' three-year coaching regime, winning a trio of three-set marathons en route to a 4-1 victory. Ryan Swanson, Taylor Beaton, and the doubles pairing of Nate Eames and Dan Morin all lost their first sets for the Sachems (2-2) but stormed back to win their matches.

Warriors roll on

Andover cruised to a 3-2 victory over Boston Latin Academy in yesterday's Division 1 quarterfinals. Bjorn Merinder led the way out of the first singles spot as he's been doing all year with a 6-4, 6-4 victory, and the second doubles team of Andrew Mack and Randy Sartor won an unblemished match 6-0, 6-0.

Astros soar through semis

Pinkerton boys tennis easily dispatched Concord 6-3 in the Class L semifinals. Mark Mangini and Sam Eaton locked down the first and second singles spots with a pair of 8-5 victories then teamed to take first doubles,  8-6. Dan Kish and Mike Soltys were also double winners for the Astros, which faces Exeter in the finals tomorrow.
