Read More »Methuen senior Josh Adams placed second in the long jump, at 21-1 and then finished 5th in the 55-meter dash (6.69) at the Dartmouth Relays. Both results qualified Adams for the Massachusetts Class A meet, on Feb. 21. Also qualifying for the states were Stephen Fitzsimmons and Andrew Stamatopulos who finished the two mile with times of 9:56.10 and 9:57.98, respectively, and Jared Reddy who ran the mile in 4:32.38.
Read More »Andover's Chris McConnell won the 55-meter dash in a time of 6.52 at yesterday's Winter Festival, at the ReggieLewis Center. MConnell then ran with Mark Vetere, Brenden Campbell and Kerrick Stevens to win the 4x200 in a time of 1:32.65.
Read More »Haverhill and Central Catholic boys and girls indoor track split with the Central boys winning 59-27 and the Haverhill girls winning 51-35.
On the boys' side, Central got huge contributions from Mike Sullivan, who won the hurdles in 6.6, and Chris Wilbar, who took first in the 600 with a time of 1:21.4. Also picking up wins for Central were John DiBitetto (50 yard dash), Andy Scott (1,000), Kevin Soucey (mile), Jeremy Hall (shot put), and Armando Bucciarelli (high jump).

The Timberlane boys and girls track teams both threw around their weight to finish second at 11-team meets at UNH.
For the Owl boys, Cam Lyle was first in the shot put (48-7 1/2) and Casey McDonnell was third while Vicky Polito was first in the shot put for the girls. Also for the boys, Chris Dow was first in the 600 while Katherine Grzejka, (long jump, 16-3 1/4), Taylor Ordway (300, 45.7) and the 4x 160-meter relay also grabbed firsts.
