Morgan McGrath led a great 1,000 meter run for Londonderry at qualifying standard competition at Univeristy of Southern Maine as the top four finishers were fellow Lancers. Londonderry's Patty Driscoll took top honors in the shot put, and Pinkerton also had a solid meet led by Margaret Barrie's triumph in the 300.

Read More »North Andover swept the shot put, the second to last event. That clinched a 45-41 win over Masconomet, the league title and a 10-0 season! Courtney Green threw 34-9, Katie McManus 32-5 1/2 and Alexa Layne 27-1. Julia Mehlman had an impressive dash/high jump double, Kathryn McFadden had a personal best to win the hurdles and Eleni Coufos captured the 600. It was the Knights' third title in four years.

Pentucket's Liz Beauregard, Brianna Repke, Emma Marchant and Kelsey Pratt qualified for states in the 4x800 with a 10:30.83. In the preliminary meeting before its entry into the MVC, North Andover showed quality depth but a couple of extra victories made the difference for Andover in a 46-39 girls track victory. Maggie Mullins turned in a strong mile time of 5:20.3 in the victory. North Andover was highlighted by Courtney Green's 35-4 1/2 effort in the shot put.
