Andover center John Hyslip met the milestone in style.

"It was on the power play," he said. "We walked it out of the corner and I snuck it five-hole. I thought I was still one point off."

That goal during the Golden Warriors' 4-0 win over Wakefield last Wednesday gave Hyslip 100 for his career. He became the second player in as many years to reach the century mark, after Tucker Mullin a year ago.

"It's great to get it," he said. "I knew coming into the season I only needed 20 or so points. But I tried to put it in the back of my mind."

Through 15 games this season, Hyslip has scored four goals and recorded 17 assists.

He broke out a year ago as part of the top line with Mullin and Colin Brennan that led Andover to the Division 2 State Championship. While battling a broken wrist, Hyslip tallied 14 goals and 26 points, including 10 points in five postseason games.

With six games remaining in the year, Hyslip needs only eight points to pass Mullin (53-59|112) for second place all-time in program history in scoring. Chris Cullen ranks No. 1 in program history, tallying 170 points (97 goals, 73 assists) from 1992-96.
