Amanda Conway made a steal, skated in on a breakaway and fired the puck low glove side for 100th goal of her varsity career in Tewksbury/Methuen's 9-2 victory over Marblehead.
"That is really a huge accomplishment," said interim coach Anna Rigano. "It usually takes a player a whole four-year career to approach 100 goals, and Amanda has done it in two years. And there are three games left in the regular season. It is tremendous."
Conway's milestone goal, her second in a 40-second span in the first quarter, was followed by an announcment. She was later presented with the puck. She finished with four goals for the contest, giving her 50 for the season and 102 for her career.
