Pinkerton pitchers John Polichetti and Chris Gerossie combined for six strong innings as the third-seeded Astros rolled 11-1 over No. 14 seed Manchester Central in the first round of the Division 1 tournament.
Chace Spears had quite the day, stroking three hits, including a triple and knocking in two runs.
Pinkerton will play the winner of Spaulding/Exeter in the quarterfinals at home Saturday at 4 p.m.
