Kessel rushes for 143 yards in Haverhill win

Ian Kessel rushed 18 times for 143 and one touchdown to lead Haverhill football 42-26 over Dracut on Friday. 

Pedro Santiago rushed 12 times for 122 and two touchdowns as the Hillies, who primarily have been a rushing team this year, did much of the same against Dracut. 

Sammy Al-Ziab added 12 carries for 98 yards.

Haverhill improved to 4-1 and Dracut (0-4) remained winless. 

The Hillies led 21-13 at halftime and 28-19 at the end of three quarters. 

QB Broghean McGovern completed 3 of 7 passes for 61 yards. 

Nick Munoz caught two of the passes for 48 yards and Pedro Santiago caught one pass for 13 yards.

Patrick Yale  was 6 for 6 on point after tries. 

Haverhill hosts Tewksbury at 7 p.m. next Friday.
