Timberlane creowned three champions among four finalists but still finished fifth at the rugged Sanford (Maine) Tournament, the lowest finish for the Owls in a New England Tournament in recent memory.

Dan Scalzo (138) had his best tournament of the year to join Lowell Holiday Tournament champs Derek Bohle (132) and Ryan Peters (145) as champions. Brian Lonergan, who beat Maine state champ Brett Geary (and 4th in New England) in the semifinals, was runner-up at 182.

Cody Lewis was fourth at 120, Cam Altobelli fifth at 152 and freshman heavyweight Noah Beauleau came in sixth.
