Senior Connor Simpson sprinted to a victory in the 600 at 1:28.9, leading Central Catholic past Chelmsford, 63-32. Freshman Cam Leonard delivered a clutch second place in the 2-mile, qualifying for the state meet in 10:08.89.
"He's the first freshman I've seen do that here in 20 years," said coach Mike Leal.
