Bishop Guertin only had two hits off Kate Hoadley, who struck out 11, but an unearned run in the third inning was all it needed to upset No. 2 Timberlane 1-0. Bridget Soraghan scattered six hits to pick up the win for Guertin.

"We just didn't bunt in key situations and that hurt us," said Timberlane coach Jim Clavette.
