Boston Latin beat Greater Lawrence 25-17, 25-22, 25-23 in the preliminary round of the North volleyball tourney. Rosendo Ortiz led the way with 14 digs and six service points while Abdiel Tavarez had 13 assists.
The Reggies, a third-year varsity program, have made the postseason the last two seasons.
"My team played fantastic," said coach Rob Mahoney. "We only have two seniors (Christian Lugo, Tim Burgess). I Can't wait."
