In a tight game, Amesbury nearly made a dramatic come-back in the bottom of the seventh, but just came up short leaving two runners stranded in scoring position to end the game. Jared Flannigan scored the Indians lone run after getting on base with a walk, stealing second, and getting hit home on a double by J.C. Collette.

The loss ended the Indians' terrific three-game winning streak from a week ago. Tyler Lay had a big week going a combined 4 for 7 against Manchester Essex and Rockport with a home run and six RBIs. James Parady was also tremendous going 5 for 8 on the week with five runs scored, an RBI and picking up two complete game wins. Jake Conant had a big game against Manchester Essex going 2 for 3 with a three-run homer, and Sean Ward got the win on the mound against North Andover in addition to his 2 for 4 effort at the plate.
