The Phillips Academy girls cross country team captured its first Class A Interscholastic title since 2010, and in convincing fashion. The Big Blue was first with just 32 points, well ahead of runner-up Loomis-Chaffee. Grace Rademacher led the way, taking third in 19:10 ofn the 5K course at Hotchkiss with North Andover's Michaela Jones right behind in fourth (19:16) and Methuen's Peyton McGovern in sixth (19:24).

Phillips Academy won its first boys basketball game of the season, 50-44 over Loomis Chaffee, thanks to an effective inside-outside. Haverhill's Tom Palleschi did the work inside with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 7 blocks while Haverhill's Ryan Hartung and nine combination and LaVaron Sylvester combined for five 3-pointers and 25 points. Sylvester also had five steals.
