The Phillips boys swim team had quite the day in a tri-meet sweep over Loomis and Hopkins, breaking four New England records. Max Hunger set new marks in the 200 freestyle (1:52.90) and the 500 freestyle (4:01.61), Sam Donchi is the new record holder in the 100 backstroke (57.67) and Arnold Su now owns the 100 breaststroke (1:03.91).

That player was Phillips great Zak DeOssie of North Andover, who is currently in his 13th year with the New York Giants. In the opening game of DeOssie's final year at Phillips, he had four TDs and a pick-6 against Loomis Chaffee.

Phillips (0-1) got a good game from quarterback Stephen Hedburg, who threw for 215 yards on 16-of-30 passing and also rushed for a touchdown. Pinkerton transfer running back T.J.
