Methuen is no longer perfect, but it's still unbeaten.

Wrestling without standouts Nate Green and Matt Cabezas, the Rangers (17-0-1) whipped BC High (42-24) and Duxbury (44-23) but had to settle for a 39-39 tie against a solid Foxboro club. Trevor Abdallah had thee pins at 170 while Darius Franklin and Travis Manick were also 3-0 from 182 to 220.

Rangers stay perfect

 

In an attempt to get completely healthy, Nate Green hasn't wrestled in every meet this season for Methuen but, when he has, he hasn't missed a beat.

Green was particularly impressive Saturday as the Rangers won four dual meets to improve to 14-0. He was 4-0 on the day and highlighted the swweep with a 4-2 decision over Marshfield's Jacob Garcia, who ia a returnin All-State placers.

Millington stays hot

 

Reece Millington remained on a roll as the postseason nears with four wins at 160 and Jake Prescott followed him by going 4-0 at 170 as Haverhill won three of four meets to improve to 18-10.

Methuen's Green day

 

Unbeaten Methuen flexed its Merrimack Valley Conference muscles by easily sweeping four meets at Marshfield, averaging 59 points in the romps. Nate Green led the way at 106 for the Rangers (18-0) with four first-period pins. Trevor Abdallah, Travis Manick and Darius Franklin also had four pins on the day and Saul Cabrera and Alex Lima had three pins.

Carsten LaPlante was the top point scorer for Georgetown/Ipswich, going 3-0 at 113, as the surprising s0-0p team won a quad meet in Watertown, nipping the host team 39-38, to improve to 7-2.
