Central Catholic's Evan Mills finished fourth with 3,231 points and teammate James Sorenson (3,152) came in fifth among 118 competitors in the state indoor pentathlon. Mills’ performance is 2nd all-time for Central.

Farmer leads Owls

Timberlane's Anthony Farmer placed third in the 55 hurdles (9.09) and led the 4x200 relay to a third-place finish (1:40.66) at a New Hampshire indoor track meet on Sunday. Tim Trasatti added a third in the high jump (5-10).

Bradford Christian wins GIL title

Izzy Papanicolaou scored with less than a minute to go in regulation to send the game into overtime, and Cece Shannon scored the decisive shootout goal to give Bradford Christian a 4-3 victory over CATS Academy in the Girls Independent League championship game. Claudia Lebron added two goals for BCA, which had lost to CATS twice in the regular season.

BCA to finals

 

After battling to a 0-0 tie after regulation and overtime, the Bradford Christian Academy girls soccer team prevailed in the shootout to defeat British International School in the the GIL semifinals. Casey Hunt and Lydia Swartzentruber scored shootout goals for BCA (11-7-1), which will play in the GIL finals Thursday.

BCA takes title

Bradford Christian Academy's Casey Hunt hit two free throws with four seconds left in regulation, completing a 16-point comeback to send the game to overtime, The Sentinels then dominated the extra session 11-3 to win the NEPSAC Class C championship 69-61 over Loomis Chaffee. 

Piath Gabriel led the way with 21 points, while Hunt added 14 and Rachel Romich scored 14 for BCA (24-7).

Bradford Christian wins thriller

The Bradford Christian girls basketball team trailed by as many as 16 points, but Rachel Romich sank two free throws with 7 seconds left that lifted the Sentinels to a thrilling 58-57 win over the Watkinson School in the NEPSAC Class C semifinals. Alana Scott had 20 points with four 3s for Bradford, which plays Loomis in the championship today (Sunday).

Casey Hunt led the way with 20 points and Allana Scott added 11 as Bradford Christian defeated Dexter Southfield 60-42 in the NEPSAC Class C tournament. Bradford Christian will host Watkinson in the semifinals Saturday afternoon.
