Danielle Fournier and Bri Connolly scored 10 points each and Fournier grabbed 18 rebounds to lead the North Andover girls basketball team to a 48-15 win ovr Rockport. It was the first varsity points scored by both players.

Up by two at halftime, the North Andover boys basketball team caught on fire in the third  scoring 26 points in the eight-minute quarter against Rockpoint in its 62-35 win. However even more impressive than its scoring was its defense, which held the Vikings to zero points throughout the frame. 

The Georgetown girls basketball team crushed Rockport yesterday, 72-27, to improve to 1-1.

Said coach BarriAnn Alonzo, "Everyone had a personal challenge to accomplish, and they worked hard to do it. We had some mistakes to fix from our first game, so we set goals, and we made them. When we can do that, we will come out with a win."

Coming off a one-point loss to rival Manchester Essex, Georgetown dropped the hammer down in the second quarter against Rockport, outscoring the Vikings by 17 points and never looking back in a 72-27 win.

In the last regular season game of the season, the Hornets (14-2-3) clinched the Cape Ann League small title with a convincing win over Rockport (7-10-2). Junior wing Amelia Cohen scored two goals and dished out an assist. Other Manchester Essex goal scorers included Katie Gavin and Eliza Blatchford while Lee Stroman, Annie Osborne each notched assists as well.

For the second time this season, the Vikings (4-8-5) rolled over North Shore Tech. Five different players scored for Rockport: Andreas Contreras, Rudolfo Mendes, Cam Tibert, Dyshant Mahat and George Weinstein (first varsity goal).

 Pentucket took a 1-0 lead into the half before Rockport (3-7-5) junior tri-captain and forward Michael Emerson received a nice through ball from freshman center back A.J. Burnham and tied it up. Unfortunately, the Sachems got the game-winner with 11 minutes left and the Vikings had chances but couldn't convert.

Pentucket's Sarah Selig netted two goals and two assists. Meghan Dillon added two goals for the Sachems (4-8-1). Breanna Yocum also netted a goal. Katherine Torrisi and K.C. Jones had assists.

The Vikings (7-8-2) put up an inspired effort against the No. 2 team in the Cape Ann Small but fell short. Rockport goalie Katie Riley was a force all game.
