Georgetown seniors Shannon O'Brien and Taylor Nelson both had three hits and drove in three runs to pace the Royals to a 10-5 victory over Manchester Essex.

With the lead run at third base and two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, Manchester Essex decided to intentionally walk Ryan Browner to pitch to Mark Berkland. The Georgetown catcher made the Hornets pay, slapping a single to right center field that plated Dave Ingraham, and Dave Slack finished a fine mound effort to garner the 1-0 victory.

Kyle White, in his first ever singles match, won at No. 3 and the new first singles doubles team of Alex Hammond and Justin Boudreau were victorious as North Andover tripped Manchester Essex 3-2.

Nicole Chevalier had three hits, including a key double 

Kaleigh Rogato, Michaela Mello and Michelle Martin led an outstanding defense led the Scarlet Knights as they bounced back from a loss to Reading that snapped a seven-game winning streak.

The North Reading boys and girls pole vault teams both won at the Mass Division 4 coach's relays. 

The North Reading girls jumped a combined 22 feet. (Jessie Valenti 9-0, Cole Godzinski 7-0 and Nikki Kowalski 6-0). 

Josh White made seven saves, including four in the fourth quarter with Haverhill up by just one goal. The Hillies senior led his lacrosse team to a 5-4 victory over Manchester Essex.

Jane Erlandson threw a five-hitter and had four hits and four RBIs to help Georgetown rout Manchester Essex 14-2 in the coaching debut of Dave Tullgren. Freshmen Devin Cudmore and Cally O'Connor had home runs in a 23-hit attack.

Isaiah Nelsen smashed his career high with 29 points to lead North Andover past Manchester-Essex 76-68. The big man was 4 of 5 on 3-pointers. Colby Smith had two late lay-ups after Manchester made it interesting. Derek Collins came off the bench for his first significant minutes of the season.

With the seven of the top eight finishers at Bradford Ski Area yesterday, St. John's Prep easily swept past Andover and Masconomet to remain unbeaten in North Shore Ski League competition.
