Timberlane field hocky, which advanced to the Division 1 semifinals last year, lost in the first round this season to Dover.

The Owls, the No. 9 seed, lost 2-0 to No. 8 seeded Dover, which scored both its goals in the second half.

Record for Jordyn

 

Jordyn Hamilton had a goal and an assist and her goal — the 57th of her career — set a new school record as Pinkerton's field hockey team (13-1) nipped Timberlane 2-1 to wrap up the No. 1 seed for the Division 1 tournament, which gets underway next week. Linnea Testa scored the game-winner for the Astros (13-1) while Nikki Korb scored for the Owls.

Lange beats the clock

Masha Lange intercepted an outlet pass in the Londonderry end and brought it into the circle, shot and scored with 13.2 seconds left to give Timberlane a 2-1 field hockey win over Londonderry. Owl midfielders Emily Calder, Jenn Trodella, Katie Tomasi and Caitlin Ferreira also came up big.
