Danvers wallops Pentucket

Danvers dominated from the beginning and rolled to a 74-45 win over Pentucket in the Division 3 North quarterfinals. 

"We had a lot of breakdowns defensively in the first half and that dug us a hole. We weren't able to dig out.," said Sachems coach Leo Parent.

Sachems turn tables

Pentucket outscored Stoneham 22-13 in the fourth to pull out a 64-54 win in its Division 3 North tourney opener. The Sachems were 20 of 24 from the free throw line on the game, highlighted by Cory McNamara's 11-of-14 shooting. Will Angelini had a fine two-way game with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Just two weeks ago, Stoneham beat the Sachems by 17 points.

Great team defense in the final quarter combined with superb free throw shooting to garner Pentucket a come-from-behind 55-48 victory over Newburyport. The Sachems shot 20 for 22 from foul line, 16 for 18 in second half, led by a perfect 12 for 12 from Will Angelini (game-high 24 points).
