Ten walks allowed doomed No. 14 Greater Lawrence Tech in its Division 3 North opening round loss to No. 19 Bedford. Juan Maldonado had two of the Reggies eight hits in the loss.

Needing a win in its last game, the Greater Lawrence baseball team slipped past a strong Mystic Valley team, 4-3, to qualify for the state tournament for the first time since 2007. The Reggies got a strong pitching performance from Oscar Reynoso, who allowed just four hits and struck out nine, and were led offensively by Angel Abreu, who had three doubles, including a two-run double in the four-run first.

For the fourth time this season, Greater Lawrence defeated the Commonwealth Conference leader with a victory over Northeast. Oscar Reynoso earned his third win of the season while Angel Abrue twice delivered a two-out, run-scoring hit.

Brian Vezina allowed just four hits and struck out 10, while Paul Mahoney was 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs as Whittier downed Greater Lawrence 12-0.

With one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Greater Lawrence sophomore catcher Jose Bueno wrapped a double into the gap and Angel Abreu followed that up with a base hit to give the Reggies an 8-7 win over Shawsheen.  Greater Lawrence blew a 7-1 lead before edging out an extra-inning victory.

Manny Rosario earned his first pitching victory of the season in his first start, striking out 15 while allowing just two hits. Jose Bueno, Angel Abreu, Juan Maldonado provided ample run support.

Javier Franjul doubled in the bottom of the sixth and scored on a wild pitch to lift Greater Lawrence to a 3-2 victory over Chelsea and make a winner of Austin Sweet, who went the distance, striking out nine.

Manny Rosario made a diving catch with the bases loaded to sustain the lead in the fourth, and added three hits and scored twice to lead Greater Lawrence to a 4-3 victory over Mystic Valley.

Manny Rosario plated two runners with a bases-loaded single in the sixth inning and followed with a run-scoring base hit in the seventh, but Greater Lawrence's huge rally fell just shy in a 9-7 loss to North Shore. The Reggies trailed 9-0 going into the bottom of the sixth inning before erupting to make the game close.

Oscar Reynoso pitched seven innings giving up two runs — one earned — on two hits and two walks while striking out 10 batters to lead Greater Lawrence baseball to its first win with a 9-2 victory over Greater Lowell.
