Methuen's boys tennis team, exhausted from the senior prom the night before, edged Haverhill, which was playing its second meet of the day after shutting out Billerica, 3-2. Freshman Luis Martinez, one played who skipped the prom, had a key win for the Rangers (9-5) at third singles.
