Rookie victory

With 10 seconds remaining, freshman Sarah Wiles scored the geme-winner to give Pentucket a thriling 12-11 win over Georgetown.

The loss overshadowed a seven-goal performance from Georgetown's Chelsea Burke, who also had an assist. Pentucket was led by four goals from Shannon Beaton and three more from Wiles.

Run to the tourney

Needing to run the table with five wins for a postseason lacrosse berth, Georgetown used its Senior Day to get the ball rolling by beating North Shore, 16-5. Mikaela Epstein (three goals) had probably her best game of the season, sparking the Royals' midfield offense. Brynn Beaudoin, Kylie Troy and Jess Rosenthal had their first goals of season in the victory.

Courtney Mangino scored her first goal of the season to help Georgetown girls lacrosse win 12-4 over Triton.

Hamilton-Wenham 13, Georgetown 12

Georgetown came close to upsetting Hamilton-Wenham but saw a halftime lead disappear, hovering near the Generals but eventually falling, 13-12. The Royals stayed in the hunt with help from the hard work of Madeline Cannon and Katherine Gibb in the midfield.

Burke-Gott show

 

Chelsea Burke had seven goals and four assists and Morgan Gott chipped in with five goals and two assists as Georgetown held off Lynnfield 17-15, improving the Royals to 2-5.
