The Methuen senior placed first in 15:50 on Chelmsford's 5K course, besting runner-up Lowell standout Patrick Coppinger by 13 seconds making him the first runner to ever win the MVC meet twice. He also beat his time of last year by 19 seconds and set a new course record.
