Dan Rivet had a goal and an assist as North Andover tripped Saugus to advance into the finals on the Newburyport Bank Tournament. The Knights will play the winner of Newburyport-Matignon Thursday at 7 p.m. in the finals.

NORTH ANDOVER — Jake Silk knew the celebration was a bit over the top, but when he spotted his family and friends on the opposite side of the glass behind the net, he couldn’t help himself.

North Andover's hockey team gave talented Lincoln-Sudbury (12-1-2) all it could handle before falling, 4-3. Jake Silk scored twice for the Knights and both Dan Rivet and Derek Hunter had a pair of assists.

With his second goal of the game, Matt Bauchman capped Methuen's comeback from a two-goal deficit to defeat North Andover, 5-4.

Capping a fierce flurry of shots with seven minutes left in the game, Bauchman gathered a long rebound and whipped the puck into the open far side of the net for the game-winner, the Rangers' second after 12 winless efforts.

A dominating second-period performance turned the tide for Andover, racing past rival North Andover, 6-3. Senior Scott Campbell had a hat trick including a back-breaking short-handed marker in the victory.

North Andover scored four goals in the final five minutes to blitz Medford 5-1. Alex Martino absorbed a big hit and dished to Jake Silk (2 goals) in the slot for what proved to be the game-winner. Derek Hunter added a goal and three assists.

Nick Pino scored his second goal of the game, drilling a slap shot intio the net with five minutes left to lift North Andover to a 4-3 win over Haverhill. Chris Nigro also scored twice for the Knights while Tom Maguire had a goal and an assist for the Hillies. 

Freshman Tyler Rogers and sophomore Nick DiDuca each scored their first varsity goal as North Andover exploded for four goals in the third period on the way to a 4-1 victory over Westford Academy.

Dan Rivet and Cosmo Capobianco scored for North Andover and Jake Silk picked up two assists but Wilmington pulled out a 3-2 win in the Haverhill Christmas Tourney.

Dan Rivet had two goals and added an assist, lifting North Andover to the finals of the Haverhill Invitational Hockey Tournament with a 5-2 win over Matignon. Jake Silk had a goal and two assists for the winners.
