Angel Abreu stroked a grand slam in the fourth inning and the next hitter, Juan Maldonado, also homered to lead Greater Lawrence 19-4 over Lynn Tech.

Juan Maldonado was 4 for 4, hit for the cycle and drove in five runs as Greater Lawrence beat Chelsea 14-3 in five innings. "In 33 years I've never had someone hit for the cycle, now I've had two this year (Maldonado, Manny Rosario)," said Reggie coach Kevin Maloney.

Manny Rosario, Javie Franjul and Oscar Reynoso all homered and Reynoso pitched a complete-game five hitter with 10 Ks and no walks as Greater Lawrence beat North Shore 14-4.

Jorge Martinez stepped up with the bases loaded to blasted a grand slam over the right field wall to send Whittier on its way to a 7-4 victory over Greater Lawrence.

Greater Lawrence's Manny Rosario saved his best at-bat for last, blasted a three-run homer in the sixth to hit for the cycle on the day, having already collected a single, double and triple, and finished the day with five RBIs, five runs scored and struck out three in two perfect innings of relief as the Reggies rolled over Lynn Tech 16-0.

Manny Rosario singled, stole second, went to third on a bad throw on the steal and scored the winning run on a wild pitch as Greater Lawrence walked off with an eight-inning, 6-5 decision over Shawsheen. The Reggies spread the wealth as five different players had RBIs, the biggest coming from Marc Ayala, Jonathan Alvarez, Angel Abreu and Juan Maldonado in a four-run fifth innig that tied the contest.

Winning pitcher Oscar Reynoso pitched 6.1 innings of two-run, two-hit ball with seven strikeouts and added two hits as Greater Lawrence beat North Shore 10-7. Mark Ayala contributed three hits, two runs and two RBIs.

Angel Abreu hit a two-run homer estimated at 375 feet, part of a three-hit, six-RBI day as Greater Lawrence crushed Northeast, 19-2 in a five-inning mercy rule game. Javier Franjul crushed a three-run homer and added an RBI double in the onslaught.
