A dream season came to a crashing halt as unbeaten Central Catholic (19-0) fell to fifth-seeded Acton-Boxboro, 1-0, in the Division 1 North girls soccer semifinals.

A-B, which has outscored the opposition 6-0 in three tourney wins, improved to 15-2-3. 

Alli Wiggins netted a hat trick and freshman goalie Amanda Fay stopped seven shots as No. 1 seed, undefeated Central Catholic girls soccer, won 4-2 over ninth-seeded Lincoln-Sudbury in the quarterfinals of the Division 1 North tournament.

The Central Catholic girls soccer team couldn't have done any better in the regular season, which they capped yesterday with a 2-0 win over a strong Swampscott team. The Raiders will enter the postseason with a perfect 17-0 record, which included 15 shutouts.

Alli Wiggins netted the hat-trick and chipped in an assist as the Central Catholic girls soccer team pulled to 14-0 with a 7-0 thumping of Lowell.

Courtney Walsh and the Central Catholic girls soccer team continue to roll. Walsh, who leads the team in points, scored her 12th goal and added her ninth assist as the Raiders (13-0) blanked La Salle 3-0. Central is currently ranked first in Eastern Mass. and seventh nationally.

Central Catholic locked down its third Merrimack Valley Conference Large title in four seasons with a 2-0 victory over Chelmsford. Courtney Walsh and Megan Rauseo each scored a goal for the Raiders, which improved to 12-0 with 11 shutouts.

Alex Nagri scored twice, Courtney Walsh tallied her 10th goal of the year, and Sarah Regan anchored an air-tight defense as unbeaten Central Catholic soccer blanked Billerica 3-0.

Central received goals from four different players, Courtney Walsh, Alli Wiggins, Aly Spencer and Kylie Regan.

Wiggins added two assists and Megan Rauseo had one assist.

Amanda Fay (7 saves) and Maddie Arndt (1 save) combined for Centrall Catholic soccer's eighth shutout in a 6-0 blitzing of Dracut. Alli Wiggins scored twice for the 9-0 Raiders.

Freshman Megan Langlois was everywhere in the Methuen High goal, making 21 saves, but the Central Catholic was just too much in a 4-0 girls soccer win for the Raiders. Jenna Martin scored twice for the Raiders, each set up by Alli Wiggins.
