Senior captain Hanna Lesch led North Reading in kills, service points and digs to lead the Hornets past Greater Lawrence 3-1. 

Pamela Castro was promoted from JV for yesterday's Greater Lawrence volleyball match because of an absence and injury. Castro was all over the court making plays. She finished with eight assists and nine digs as the Reggies won 3-2 over Lowell Catholic.

Greater Lawrence dropped the first game but then won three straight to defeat Presentation of Mary 3-1 and, with a 10-2 record, qualify for the tournament. Alyssa Goulet led in blocks (5) and service points (15).

Greater Lawrence's volleyball team, which fell to Shawsheen 3-0 earlier in the season defeated the Rams 3-2 to improve to 9-2. Penelope Ramos had 17 service points, including six aces, and Lizbeth Rodriguez compiled 34 digs. Alyssa Goulet had an impressive nine blocks.

Iovanne Ruiz notched career-highs in assists (18) and digs (33) and Ayssa Goulet had 23 service points as Greater Lawrence rallied past PMA 25-9, 19-25, 16-25, 25-13, 16-14.

The Greater Lawrence girls volleyball team soundly beat Chelsea 3-0. Erica Roque led the team offensively with 18 kills, and Ivonne Ruiz shined defensively with 16 digs.
