Methuen, behind 20 points inside from Tim Galloway-Burke and seven 3-pointers, ended Greater Lawrence's 10-game winning steak with a 73-58 victory. The Reggies (17-3) host Greater Lowell at 2 p.m. today in the Vocational State Tournament semifinals.

Wabissa Bede scored 16 points and dished out eight assists to lead North Andover to a 60-50 win over Methuen. Tim Galloway-Burke scored a game-high 29 points for the Rangers.

Methuen took its first lead 53-52 with 38 seconds left on two Marc Sicard free throws. But Lowell's Sean Bryant banked in a jumper with 15 seconds left. The Rangers missed a couple late shots. Tim Galloway-Burke scored a game-high 22 points. Methuen (7-11) will have to win its final four games in the 22-game schedule to qualify for the tourney.

Jonathan Paulino netted 16 points while Tim Galloway-Burke added 14 points. Methuen beats Tewksbury 65-57. Tewksbury entered in first in the MVC Small.  

E.J. Perry IV scored 19 points, Connor Merinder 15 and David Giribaldi 12 as Andover held off Methuen and Tim Galloway-Burke (25 points) 64-53.

Mark Sicard hit a big late 3-pointer and Tim Galloway-Burke scored 10 points to lead a balanced effort as Methuen nipped Haverhill 51-49. Senior Matt Burns scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Hillies, who led 27-18 at the half.

METHUEN — While the Rangers might not have been out to make a statement, a victory like the one they pulled out last night could go a long way toward defining a season.

A couple weeks after dropping an 11-point decision to North Andover in the Christmas tournament, Methuen repaid the Scarlet Knights 57-48 with a solid second-half performance and moved above the .500 mark on the year.

Tim Galloway-Burke led all scorers with 26 points and Jonathan Paulino added 17 as Methuen improved to 3-1 with a 62-54 over Haverhill. Matt Jameson had 26 for the Hillies.
