Silk ends season strong

Pat Silk hurled 7.0 shutout innings and allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out five to help Central Catholic to a 6-0 win over Drury. Silk and Central won their final three games to close out the season.

North Reading 7, TBA 5

With the Nipper Clancy Tournament championship on the line, Scott Leslie delivered a gritty performance, on the mound and at the plate, lifting North Reading to the title with a 7-5 win over Lynn Rnglish.
Leslie snapped a 5-5 tie in the top of the seventh with a two-run double. He also picked up the win on the hill with a seven-hitter, walking six and striking out five. Thomas Day had three hits in the leadoff spot to pass the 10-hit North Reading attack.

Victory Lane

Georgetown's Thomas Lane gave his club a chance to win, with seven superb innings, and his Phillips Academy mates accommodated, walking off with a 3-2 thriller over DeMatha Prep of Maryland. With the score knotted 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Kenta Nomoto doubled and raced home on Kevin Superko's game-winning base hit. Lane dazzled, going all seven, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks, while striking out four.
