Sophomore Alex Cruz a had a big win at No. 2 in his showdown with Jacob Greer to help Lawrence win its state tourney matchup with Methuen 3-2. The match was decided by Jose Matos and Eduardo Cartagena who snapped a 2-2 tie by winning 2-6, 6-2, 6-3at No. 2 doubles.

With the meet coming down to the final match of the day, twin brothers Joe Wakim and Mike Wakim scored a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles to give Methuen a 3-2 win over Lawrence and clinch the MVC Small title for the Rangers.

Methuen's Luis Martinez battled Andover's Varun Penamatsa to a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles, but the Golden Warriors won the match 4-1 to stay unbeaten at 13-0.

 Playing together for the first time, junior twins Joe and Mike Wakim won at first doubles to highlight Methuen's 4-1 victory over Chelmsford. Freshman Jacob Greer remained unbeaten since moving up to second singles.

Methuen freshman Jacob Greer continued his hot streak against Central Catholic, winning in his third consecutive match. He won 6-4, 6-2 in varsity singles to lead Methuen to a 4-1 victory. 

Freshman Jacob Greer earned his first varsity singles victory to lead Methuen past Billerica 5-0.

With the meet to be decided on third singles, Andrew D'Aoust finished off a 6-3, 7-5 victory to clinch Haverhill's 3-2 win over Methuen.

The White brothers, senior Kyle at No. 1 singles and sophomore triplets Cam and Tyler at No. 2 doubles, led North Andover to a season-opening 5-0 win over Methuen.
