Motivated by its coach, Andover wins state title

Led by Lauren D'Entremont, North Andover finished second in the Division 2 girls meet, which was won by Lowell. D'Entremont won the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly and was on the winning 200 medley relay. Also on that winning relay was 100 backstroke winner Sydney Seo.

 Sidney Seo, Lauren D'Entremont, Beth Dunbar and Maxie Zimmerman opened the meet with a winning effort in the relay, then went on to dominate as North Andover defeated Notre Dame Academy, 93-90. Ashley Richard of Haverhill helped Notre Dame to one of its only two victories, swimming the lead leg on the 400 free relay.

North Andover's Lauren D'Entremont won the 200 freestryle (2:05.47) and 100 freestyle (56.59) and swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay but the Scarlet Knights fell to Lowell 96-87.

Led by Sydney Seo's four first places, North Andover's swim team won its first meet, defeating Dracut 86-57. Captain Emily Fox took her initial first places, besting the field in the 100 freestyle.
